Media Release, 27 February 2008, 3.30 pm Arrest for Attempted Murder At 8.30am on Wednesday 27 February 2008 a 52 year old man was arrested for attempted murder. The arrest was the result of a workplace altercation in Bromley.
The offender attacked the victim with a jemmy bar and inflicted moderate injuries. The victim has received medical attention and is recovering well.
The offender was employed as a loader driver and lives in Burwood. He appeared in the Christchurch District Court this afternoon on a single charge of attempted murder. Police are not seeking any further persons in relation to this incident.
