MEDIA RELEASE #3 - FATAL HOUSE FIRE
Police have now released the names of the three men who died in a house fire in Elzy Street, Blenheim in the early hours
of the morning on Thursday the 14th of February 2008.
They are:
John Francis AYERS, 53 years-old
John Lewis ROGAL, 43 years-old and
Daniel James REEVES, 23 years-old.
All three men were Blenheim residents.
Police completed the scene examination at the scene of the house fire on Friday evening.
The matter has been reported to the Coroner
The investigative team are beginning to form a view as to the cause of the fire but are awaiting further advice and
reports from the experts engaged to assist with the examination of the scene.
The officer in charge of the investigation, Detective Sergeant Hamilton of the Blenheim CIB said, 'What is clear is that
there are no suspicious circumstances in this case.'
