A Christmas wish comes true
Amidst the challenge of parenting a teenager, DCM client Dean Te Naihi was overwhelmed this week when told a Wellington company had agreed to gift a new bike for his son.
Dean says, “My son loves riding around town and has really missed being able to get outside and ride with his mates so I’m rapt and totally thrilled”.
DCM Director Stephanie McIntyre says, “Dean’s been making significant changes in his life and he’s doing his best for his son who came to live with him a year ago. So we talked with a business who had contacted DCM about specific needs they could support and this seemed perfect”.
They are also generously donating footwear vouchers and school supplies.
“It was very pleasing in that they responded without hesitation to the need we presented them, so we’re delighted with their support,” she says.
Currently DCM is busy preparing food hampers and stocking up the food bank for the Christmas rush. Please contact David Cross on 385 5608 to contribute.
