Christmas at Capital E Once Upon a Time ….
You’re invited to travel back in time to a Christmas of yesteryear ….
The Main Hall at Capital E will be transformed into a vintage Christmas scene-scape, transporting you back to a Victorian-era Yule-tide. Wander through a snowy London street filled with candlelight and coal-fires, mistletoe and magic. As you stroll down the Christmas High Street you can window-shop to your hearts’ content. Soak up the Noel seasons’ sights, sounds and smells as you explore our Christmas past. You can even take a peek into Scrooge’s bedroom!
There’s also a lot to do. Children will have the opportunity interact with live characters from the Victorian era and hear stories about their life. They will also be able to make traditional Christmas crackers and decorations, use a turn of the century printing press to make their own olden-time greeting cards and sing carols around the pinola, and much much more …
In this Victorian Christmas you’ll discover where so many of today’s Christmas traditions come from!
