Auckland City Council logo negotiation outcome
Auckland City Council and Triangle Television settled concerns that were expressed over the similarities between the organisations’ two logos at a meeting yesterday.
The agreement involves the following:
Auckland City Council will alter the logo used to publicise events. This addresses a key area of concern for Triangle Television, providing further differentiation between the two logos where the organisations have overlapping interests. The standard logo will be used for all other activities. Auckland City Council is yet to finalise this logo treatment
Auckland City Council will contribute $10,500 towards Triangle Television’s legal costs. This recognises the cost to Triangle Television which Auckland City Council inadvertently created.
Neither party will oppose the other achieving registration of their respective logos.
Auckland City Council will never use the triangle device without the words Auckland City Council accompanying it.
