Police Release Name of Kaikohe Murder Victim

Police have released the name of the man who died in Kaikohe on Wednesday.
He was Norman James Lewis, aged 81years, of Kaikohe.
The post mortem has shown that the man received fatal injuries as the result of stab wounds.
A 44-year-old man and 39-year-old woman appeared in the Kaikohe District Court yesterday charged with murder. They were remanded in custody and will appear again on Thursday November 29.
Police expect the scene examination to finish today and are still asking for any witnesses or anyone who knew Mr Lewis to contact the Kaikohe Police Station.
