The queenstown Police have overnight been investigating the stabbing of a male at the Willows Restaurant, Arrowtown.
At approximately 0015hrs on Saturday the 7th of April 2007, a number of patrons were drinking in the outside table area of the Willows Restaurant in Ramshaw Lane, Arrowtown.
As a result of a confrontation between some of these patrons, a male was stabbed in the neck and stomach.
The area around Buckingham Street and Ramshaw Lane were cordoned off while Police carried out their scene examination.
The victim, a 23 year old Arrowtown male, has been transferred to the Invercargil Hospital for further treatment to his wounds.
The Police would like to hear from any persons who may have witnessed this incident at the Willows Restaurant or a second incident a short time later, outside the Night and Day Dairy, Arrowtown where the occupants of a white Honda motor vehicle were set upon by a group of males.
