Bah Humbug and Welcome to the Grotto ROAR! Gallery
30th November – 24th December
Opening 30th November 5.30pm
It’s coming up to that time again …(unbelievably enough!) when we start planning our Christmas show!!!!
This year we’ve kinda had enough of all those under a hundred buckaroo shows so we are going back to Xmas roots, past and present, and creating a magical wonderland of strange, old and new trinkets and delight. There will be visits from local fairies, mulled wine, harp playing angels, fruit mince pies and, best of all, our very own
GROTTO!
The one and only Gary Humffreys has decorated our project space, The Portal, with all the ritz and glitz of Christmas now and past. Baby Jesus has had an unexpected makeover, and our ceiling has been reinvented with a Van Gogh sky.
You can choose your handmade decorations from our Christmas tree, pick your cash and carry gifts, then take the load off and wrap them at our wrapping table with hand made paper by Charles Cunningham and Audrey Slater. Finish it off with a handmade or printed card, and you will officially be the favourite relative on the day.
We will be showing new works by Carmel McSherry (naughty little elves and fairies with big boots and knickerbockers), a fine collection of etchings and small works by various artists all at $50.00 only, new works by Audrey Slater, pohutukawa paintings by Poppy Moore, and much, much more.
So, if you enjoyed the works at the auction and missed out, or you didn’t make it and heard about how fabulous it was, come along and see new works by all the fabulous Pablos artists, and many more.
STOP PRESS
Hot new stencil works by Kiran X just confirmed for Xmas show! It’s cash and carry so get in quick! Plus new photographs by Sian Torrington featuring the weird and wonderful world of self-taught taxidermy just North of Gore. South Island styles…….
