NZ music month live at the library
Auckland City Libraries presents a great line up of music concerts starting next week at the Central City Library and various Community Libraries. Customers also have the opportunity to win $500 worth of Marbecks music vouchers by simply borrowing five music items during May from any Auckland City Library.
The gig guide includes:
Tuesday 16 May Love to sing or play an instrument? Children can enter a talent quest to be in to win a fantastic prize! Panmure Community Library presents a Talent Quest for Kidz at 4pm.
Thursday 18 May Crooner Grant Chilcott provides some smooth lunchtime entertainment with pianist Val Leemon from 12.10pm - 1pm at the Central City Library, Whare Wananga, 2nd Floor.
Come and hear the beautiful voices of Edendale Primary School Choir at Mt Albert Community Library from 12 noon - 12.30pm.
Friday 19 May Be entertained by the renowned Chaucer School Choir at Blockhouse Bay Community Library from 11am - 12 noon.
Enjoy the sounds of the Glendowie College String Band at St Heliers Community Library by the sea from 12.30pm - 1.30pm.
Gasoline Cowboy presents gloriously unpolished indie pop from 12.10pm - 1pm at the Central City Library, Ground Floor.
Saturday 19 May Experience the world of music with the sounds of the native American flute and acoustic guitar from Peter Forster from 10.30am - 11am at Waiheke Community Library.
Come and be entertained by Andy Lewis on the mandolin at Waiheke Community Library from 2pm - 2.30pm.
The Muse With Francis Christoffel on keyboards and sequencing and Valerie Cole on electric guitar, The Muse presents some chilled out music with smooth ambient layers at Grey Lynn Community Library from 12.30pm - 1.45pm.
The New Freedom is a melodic pop/rock band with a thoughtful and considered sound. Playing at the Central City Library, Ground Floor from 12.10pm - 1pm.
