Detours on Hillsborough Road

Detours on Hillsborough Road
Work started this morning to resurface Hillsborough Road.
Eastbound traffic is diverted left off Hillsborough Road at Whitmore Road, then onto Richardson Road to re-join Hillsborough Road.
There are 'stop/ go' operations in place at the Whitmore Road and Richardson Road intersections with Hillsborough Road, between 6am and 10am.
There are temporarily reduced traffic speed restrictions for westbound traffic, which could cause delays.
Traffic diversions are in place and will be clearly signposted for the duration of the work. This first stage of work is expected to take around eight weeks to complete.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes and drive with care.
Stage two, between Olsen Avenue and Goodall Street, is expected to start within the next two months.
