Manukau City Council’s Annual Report released
Following an unqualified audit report from Audit New Zealand, Manukau City Council is pleased to report that it met budget as adopted in the 2004-2007 Annual Plan for the year ended 30 June 2005.
After allowing for a depreciation adjustment as a result of the revaluation of roading assets, plus the special dividend declared by Auckland International Airport Limited on 30 June 2005, the cost of providing Council services to the residents and ratepayers of Manukau came in on target.
Manukau City Council’s Chief Executive designate Mr Leigh Auton is pleased with the financial report:
“Overall this is a very positive result for the year with the cost of Council services being maintained within the 2004/05 Annual Plan budget.
“It is important to remember that although Council has achieved a positive result, the City continues to face demands for capital expenditure on infrastructure and services as we manage New Zealand’s fastest growing city. I congratulate Council officers on a job well done.”
