Global Challenge fleet arrives in packed bunch
Global Challenge yachts are arriving thick and fast at the Wellington Race Village on the waterfront at the end of leg two from Buenos Aires.
The first three yachts, Spirit of Sark, BP Explorer and BG Spirit arrived yesterday (Tuesday), and today (Wednesday) has already seen the arrival of Samsung, Vaio, Imagine It. Done, and Me to You.
Another two yachts, SAIC La Jolla and Save the Children are due to arrive shortly, with Barclays Adventurer due to arrive later in the day. After arriving, the boats will be tied up in the Race Village at Queens Wharf. Pindar and Team Stelmar are still at sea. Pindar is expected tomorrow, while Stelmar, which had to divert with an injured crew member in the middle of the Southern Ocean, is still to far away to predict an arrival.
