Community Planting Days
Manukau City Council is inviting local residents to join in two community planting sessions in Otara and Manurewa this weekend.
Pull out the gumboots, gardening gloves and a spade (if you have one) and come along this Sunday 13 June at 1.00pm to either Hampton Park, 334 East Tamaki Road, Otara or Totara Park, Wairere Road, Manurewa.
You can be involved in the revegetation projects in these parks and help beautify your community. Bring a child along to discover the spirit of community involvement. Planters will be rewarded with free refreshments, and at Totara Park the 'Friends of Totara Park' group is also providing a BBQ. Allister Clegg on 262-8900 extn 7008 or 0274-417-653.
