Facility & Service Review Mix review at Sockburn Recreation Centre
The Christchurch City Council Leisure Unit has contracted the Global Leisure Group to review the current activities offered at the Sockburn Recreation Centre.
With the facility experiencing a drop in patronage since the opening of the Centennial & Pioneer Leisure Centres a decision has been made to review what the centre currently offers to ensure that the CCC are still meeting the needs of the local community.
The Recreation Centre opened in 1985 and has offered the same mix of services since that date.
The review team will conduct research in the local & wider area with current users, staff, other recreation providers and will also undertake a telephone survey of local residents. The Sockburn Swimming Pool will not be part of this review.
