Surviving the School Holidays
It's winter and the school holidays are nearly here. What is there to do? Get your kids active and outdoors with Council's Manukau on the Move team.
Manukau City Council's Manukau on the Move outdoor recreation team is running a week of fantastic holiday fun at the Beachlands and Maraetai Halls from 7-11 July. Kids aged five to thirteen can choose from different crazy theme days for only $14 a day.
Monday sees monster mania at Beachlands Hall complete with strange stories and tasty treats. Tuesday is cowboys and Indians day at Maraetai Hall. Put on a play and get involved in some great outdoor games.
Wednesday is a full day trip to the pools and movies - cost of $30. Thursday is crafty creations at Maraetai Hall, with cool crafts and newspaper art. And the week is rounded off with a fairytale frenzy at Beachlands Hall, enjoy the gingerbread men and set out on a special quest.
Each day's programme runs from 10am to 3pm. Contact the Manukau on the Move team for an enrolment form on 274 6904.
