Draft Rail Business Plan now up for review

Draft Rail Business Plan now up for review and consideration by Councils and the community
At a media briefing today Rail Business Plan Steering Group Chair Michael Gross presented ARC Chair Gwen Bull with the draft Business Plan that has been developed for the Auckland Rail Network.
ARC Chair Gwen Bull said “The Business Plan Steering Group have done their job, the Boston Consulting Group assisted by the steering group have delivered the draft plan. Now the work starts for us. We along with all of the other Councils will be revewing the document in terms of our plans.
The Auckland Regional Council will consider it at our Council meeting on May 26th. Once all of the political bodies have adopted an amended plan it will be time to talk to the community about including it in the Regional Land Transport Strategy and the Regional Passenger Transport Plan. Regional agreement at all levels will be needed before we have a final plan.”
Work on the plan was funded by the Infrastructure Auckland Limited (IA) Auckland Regional Council (ARC) Auckland Regional Transport Network Limited (ARTNL) and Transfund. Its development has been facilitated by the Boston Consulting Group and overseen by a Steering Group comprising representatives of the participating organisations.
