Lane closed in Beach Road
Transit New Zealand advises all road users that from Monday 28 April until Monday 5 May, the left lane on Beach Road heading towards Parnell will be closed on a section between Ronayne Street and The Strand. Roadworks in this area are part of the Grafton Gully motorway upgrading project which, when completed, will provide direct access between the motorway and the port area. The lane closure, which is necessary for services work, may also require portions of the footpath to be closed. Pedestrians will therefore be required to follow signposted detours. The intersection of Beach Rd / Stanley St / The Strand will not be affected by this lane closure. Transit New Zealand asks motorists and pedestrians to be careful in the vicinity of roadworks and be mindful of signals and traffic management measures.
For more information on this project, visit the project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street & Alten Road, phone 0800 To Freeflow (0800 863 733) or visit the Transit website http:// http://www.transit.goft.nz.
