Westfield NZ announced today exciting new changes to Westfield Manukau City.

“We are committed to ensuring Westfield Manukau City is part of a vibrant and prosperous City Centre. We will continue to work closely with the Manukau City Council, the community, and our retailers to support the “City Centre Strategy”, said John Widdup, Director, Westfield NZ.

“We have actively listened to customer and retailer feedback before commencing works to Westfield Manukau City that will see Westfield committing significant funds towards an ambience upgrade throughout the entire centre including enhancements to the interior and exterior of the centre.

In addition new comfort seating areas will be introduced, and the restrooms and parent’s room will be upgraded. New look stores will be introduced to the former DEKA Area.

All of these works are in keeping with the latest design trends and meeting customer expectation”, said Linda Round, National Marketing and Communications Manager, Westfield New Zealand.

Westfield were delighted to have Sir Barry Curtis, the Mayor of Manukau City officially launch the commencement of the works followed by a presentation to Westfield Manukau City retailers.

It is anticipated that the new stores will be completed by the end of June 2003. The ambience package is expected to be completed by September 2003.
