Japanese imperial couple to visit Christchurch
Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako of Japan will be visiting Christchurch this Saturday 14 December.
They arrive in Wellington today and will also visit Te Anau and Auckland before leaving for Sydney on Monday 16 December.
Their itinerary in Christchurch is as follows:-
9.45am Arrive at Christchurch International Airport met by Hon Lianne Dalziel. Media to contact Aviation Security for access to tarmac.
10.00 – 10.45am Visit the International Antarctic Centre – includes ride in a snowmobile. Media coverage – fixed positions for arrival and snowmobile.
12.30pm Attend a Civic Reception hosted by Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore at Chateau on the Park. Media coverage of arrival and speech
2.30pm Depart Christchurch Airport for Te Anau
