Creative Communities Funding
29 May 2002
Successful applicants for funding from the Creative Communities Funding Scheme received their grant cheques from Mayor John Terris at a special presentation evening held last Thursday night in Wainuiomata.
The Creative Communities Funding Scheme provides funding to groups and individuals involved in arts and cultural projects and activities in Hutt City.
"The scheme aims to increase participation in the arts at the local level, increase the range and diversity of arts available to communities, and enhance and strengthen the local arts and cultural sectors," said Community Development Funding Officer Caroline O'Loan.
"The fund contributes to a vibrant arts and cultural community in Hutt City by supporting the work of a whole range of talented and dedicated groups and individuals."
