Weather Workshop: 5 day forecast for NZ

The long range forecast from Weather Workshop for all of New Zealand to midnight Sunday:
Situation: A high lies over the North Island today. A westerly flow develops over the South Island. Tomorrow the high drifts north and allows a southwest change to spread up the South Island. On Friday the front should clear the North Island and the high then pushes a weak ridge back onto the country. On Saturday the high dominates but a strong northwest flow develops over the lower South Island. The northwest flow spreads over the remainder of the South Island on Sunday as the high weakens and drifts northeast of the North Island.
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, TARANAKI, TAIHAPE, WANGANUI and MANAWATU: A mix of cloud and fine breaks today with a few showers about Northland clearing. Mainly fine at first tomorrow then cloud increasing later and a few showers developing towards evening. Morning showers clearing on Friday and becoming fine. Mostly fine on Saturday. Cloudy at times on Sunday.
COROMANDEL PENINSULA, BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA and TAUPO: Mainly fine today and tomorrow. A few brief showers early Friday then becoming fine again. Mostly fine Saturday and Sunday with light winds.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: A few showers clearing from Gisborne today. Elsewhere mainly fine. Tomorrow, mainly fine but high cloud increasing later. A few showers at first on Friday then clearing. Mostly fine Saturday and Sunday.
WELLINGTON: Mostly fine today. Cloud increasing on Thursday then showers and southerlies developing after dark. Becoming fine on Friday remaining fine on Saturday. Mostly cloudy on Sunday with gusty northerlies.
NELSON: Fine today. High cloud tomorrow then showers and southwesterlies late in the day. Fine on Friday. Mainly fine on Saturday, some high cloud developing later. High cloud again on Sunday but remaining dry.
MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Mainly fine today. High cloud tomorrow then showers and southwesterlies spread north later. Becoming fine on Friday. Mostly fine Saturday but with increasing high cloud about Canterbury. High cloud thickening on Sunday with warm gusty northwesterlies.
BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Cloud increasing with rain developing about Fiordland today. Showers and southwesterlies spread north tomorrow. Cloudy about the Fiords on Friday, mainly fine elsewhere. On Saturday and Sunday, Rain south of the glaciers with cloudy skies elsewhere.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine today. High cloud increasing overnight then showers and southwesterlies sweep north tomorrow morning. Further cloudy periods on Friday with northwest winds. Rain about the western ranges late on Saturday with high cloud and gusty northwesterlies elsewhere. Further rain in the west on Sunday. Thickening high cloud and warm gusty northwesterlies
elsewhere.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Showers easing today. Cloudy with gusty northwesterlies tomorrow. Showers and southwesterlies on Friday. Becoming fine on Saturday and remaining fine on Sunday.
