Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A high lies over the country today. A westerly flow is developing over the lower South Island.
And now the forecast to midnight tonight:
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, COROMANDEL PENINSULA, BAY of PLENTY/ROTORUA, TAUPO, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI, TARANAKI, TAIHAPE, WANGANUI and MANAWATU: Mostly fine apart from a few cloudy periods along the west coast. Southwest breezes.
GISBORNE, HAWKES BAY and WAIRARAPA: Morning cloud and the odd coastal shower clearing and becoming fine with southwest winds.
WELLINGTON: Cloud clearing later this morning with southerly winds Dying out and northerlies developing.
NELSON, BULLER, WESTLAND and FIORDLAND: Fine with light winds. Some cloud developing about Fiordland later with westerlies.
MARLBOROUGH and CANTERBURY: Fine inland today with light winds. About the coast, morning cloud clearing and becoming fine with Northeast winds.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Mainly fine inland with light winds. About the coast, a few cloudy periods with westerly winds.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Cloud and fine breaks with southwest winds.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW: Fine to most places with light winds but a few cloudy periods in Southland with westerlies there. At the Chatham's, Cloudy at times with southwest winds continuing.
