Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.
In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Mostly fine weather but an increase in cloud with a few showers developing later tomorrow in the north and west.
Gisborne to Wairarapa, also for Bay of Plenty: Remaining light showers clearing this evening north of Wairoa, otherwise fine weather.
Wellington: Cloudy periods, a few showers later tomorrow.
Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine in most places but low cloud and fog returning to coastal Canterbury tonight. Tomorrow showers spreading northward during the day with colder southwesterlies.
South Island west coast: Drizzle developing about Fiordland, elsewhere mainly fine. A period of rain working north tomorrow and turning colder.
Otago and Southland: A few showers persisting about the south coast otherwise fine overnight. Tomorrow turning colder with rain becoming widespread. Snow to low levels on the hills after dark.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
