Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to
midnight tomorrow.
From Taranaki to Taupo and Bay of Plenty northwards: A mix of cloudy and fine periods today. A few showers in the west from Northland to Taranaki. Mainly fine at first tomorrow but a few showers develop in western areas south of Auckland by evening.
Wanganui and Manawatu, also for the southern parts of the central plateau: Showers clearing and becoming fine today. Cloud increasing tomorrow with a few late showers.
Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa: A few showers in most places then gradually clearing this evening. Mainly fine tomorrow but showers developing in Wairarapa after dark.
Wellington: Showers clearing today. Mainly fine at first tomorrow. Showers developing after dark.
Nelson: Mainly fine but cloud increasing tomorrow with brief Showers late in the day.
For the South Island west coast: Cloud increasing over Fiordland this afternoon with rain after dark. Mainly fine further north. Tomorrow, rain becoming widespread then breaking to showers from the south.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Showers clearing from Banks Peninsula northwards today. Elsewhere mainly fine. Fine at first tomorrow, showers spread north from afternoon.
Otago and Southland: Mostly fine today. Showers and southwesterlies spread north tomorrow morning.
Chatham Islands: Showers.
