Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.

For Northland: Showers persisting in the north and east, cloudy periods elsewhere.

In the west from Auckland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Mainly fine weather. Brief showers may spread as far north as the central plateau later tomorrow with snow flurries there after dark.

In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Becoming fine and frosty everywhere tonight. Showers redeveloping from the south tomorrow afternoon and evening.

Kapiti Coast and Wellington: Brief showers from tomorrow afternoon otherwise fine.

Nelson and the South Island west coast: Showers overnight and early tomorrow then fine.

For Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine and frosty apart from brief coastal showers tomorrow morning.

In Otago and Southland: Overnight showers becoming confined to the south coast tomorrow morning with clearing skies elsewhere.

Chatham Islands: Showery.
