Now the All Districts forecast from Weather Workshop:
The Situation: A disturbed southwesterly flow
covers the
country. A front entangled in this flow
should move on to
the lower South Island this morning
then lie over the
central North Island by midnight
tonight.
NORTHLAND, AUCKLAND, WAIKATO, WAITOMO, TAUMARANUI
and
TARANAKI: A mix of cloud and fine periods with odd
shower
becoming widespread for a time this afternoon or
evening.
Southwesterly breezes.
COROMANDEL PENINSULA,
BAY OF PLENTY and ROTORUA: Mainly
fine weather but a few
showers spreading from the west
this afternoon or
evening. Southwesterly breezes.
TAUPO, WANGANUI, MANAWATU
and TAIHAPE: Mainly fine but a
few cloudy periods at
times and one or two showers
developing from this
afternoon. West to southwesterly
breezes.
GISBORNE and
HAWKES BAY: Mostly fine weather with a few
cloudy
periods. Southwesterly breezes
WAIRARAPA and WELLINGTON: A
mix of cloud and fine periods
with a few showers
developing this evening. Southeasterly
breezes
NELSON: Fine weather with southwesterly breezes.
BULLER, WESTLAND
and FIORDLAND: Cloudy at times with a few
morning
showers but clearing from the south this afternoon
and
becoming mostly fine. Southwesterly breezes.
MARLBOROUGH
and CANTERBURY: Mainly fine weather for much of
the day
with a few morning fog patches. A change spreading
north
this afternoon and evening to southwesterly winds
with a
few showers.
OTAGO and SOUTHLAND: Showers becoming
widespread for a time
this morning then retreating to
the coast this afternoon
with the weather becoming fine
inland. Southwesterly winds
brisk for a time about the
coast this morning.
CHATHAM ISLANDS: Cold and showery with
strong southwesterly
winds.
THE OUTLOOK FOR TOMORROW:
Becoming fine over much of the
country but a few morning
showers likely about Gisborne and
rain spreading in to
the south of the South Island later in
the day. At the
Chatham Islands, showers and strong
southwesterly winds
easing.
