One should expect this outcome

Pakistan used to be the champion in Squash, Hockey, Yacht, and Cricket and other sports and that was the time when the people of Pakistan had national sprit, dignity in nationalism, corruption free system and fairness in selection. Now the corruption, prejudice and favoritism can be seen in every sport same as the system of governance in Pakistan. Today, over 200 million of Pakistanis are sad and fuming on the poor performance of Pakistani cricketers in the cricket ground against the traditional rival India.

With the awful defeat by the rival India, Pakistan is now about to be out of the World Cup tournament. The Pakistani nation who sent-off Pakistani cricketers England with great admiration and hopes 6 weeks ago are now once again highly shocked with the attitude, mental level and performance in the ground of Pakistani cricketers. The selector, coach and captain were vocalized big promises on the stage shocked the entire nation when it came to the performances in the ground. The most disgraceful movement was when millions of viewers watched on their TVs that the Pakistani captain was yawning while wicket-keeping. One can imagine their prior engagement and outside the ground.

The lack of strategy, professional approach and groundwork led them to panic, anxiety and ended with a humiliated defeat.

I wasn’t surprised when the team already could win only win one game before going against India. When you look the Indian players and their game, honestly, their fitness, sprit, calmness and professionalism were clearly far away from Pakistani players. What do you expect when you have a chief selector of an ordinary mind who has no manner dealing with international media conference, a foreign coach with no interest with Pakistani nationalism except to get his salary coming in his account regularly and many stories of groupings and favoritism.

The unprofessional and tawdry approach in every department of cricket not only humiliated the entire cricket-loving Pakistani nation but disappointed countless cricket lovers around the world. Pakistani team showed no guts, no courage and no fighting spirit to even match the standards of a World Cup Game.

Pakistan has extraordinary natural talent in every department of cricket. Every individual has un-matchable skills in all levels of cricket. Pakistani talent is undisputedly accepted by international cricket nations, yet they also know now that they are bunch of unprofessional and unethical boys with individual talent. The biggest dilemma with Pakistani team is the discipline and team management. The prejudices, inside politics, appointment of cricket officials based on groupings, the favoritism and discrimination in the team selection have ruined the international image and national character of Pakistan’s Cricket.

The winning and losing is the part of every game. The loss after 100% input in the game and fight at the end, is always understandable and acceptable to everyone. However, the hefty defeat where no team planning, strategy and eventually creates suspicion to the observers.

This is the time for the Pakistani cricketing Prime Minister Imran Khan to investigate the serious problem in the Pakistani cricket, scrap this whole lot and restructure Pakistani cricket. Kick-out foreign coaches, unprofessional and un-educated selectors, high-ranking officials and board members who are taking millions of rupees from Pakistani Cricket board with poor and shameful outcome. Take a strong and immediate action against present team management. Restructuring Cricket with fair and impartial selection of the players is inevitable to save the image of Pakistan in the international cricket.
