Nicholas Heyward, Fighter Against Police Brutality, Passes

Nicholas Heyward Sr., courageous fighter against police brutality and terror, passed yesterday, December 31, 2018. His family is currently making funeral plans and will issue a statement soon. His youngest son, Quenton Heyward, is available for comment on behalf of the family.

It is with a great sorrow for us to inform all those fighting to end police terror and mass incarceration, and for social justice, that Nicholas Heyward Sr., courageous and uncompromising fighter for the people, has passed on December 31, 2018.
Nicholas Heyward, Sr., was a Father, Husband, Brother, Grandfather and Fighter Against Injustice. He fought for justice for his son, Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr. killed by a New York cop in 1994. He was always there for many families who have lost loved ones to police violence and police murder.
