Two Young Kiwi Climate Ambassadors for UNFCCC Cycle Across Europe

Two young and enthusiastic Kiwi 19 year-olds, Fabian Beveridge and Inka Vogt, have been cycling across Europe to promote low-carbon travel and raise awareness about climate change as ambassadors for the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework for Climate Change Convention).

They have been receiving press coverage in various European countries during their cycle trip which started in March 2017. In Madrid they met the Spanish Minister for Climate Change and in Barcelona they were guests at the Connect4Climate conference hosted by the World Bank.

10,000km later they are on their way to COP23 the major international UN climate conference in Bonn from 5 - 23 November. Fabian and Inka are special guests at COP23. Inka and two other international youth climate activists (Felix Finkbeinerand and Yugratna Srivastava) will be opening the Climate Planet at the Bonn Rheinaue and interviewing Federal Minister Gerd Mueller (Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development), Patricia Espinosa (UNFCCC Executive Secretary) and a Fiji representative.

Fabian and Inka will also be doing a presentation later in the conference about their trip and are cycling from Belgium to the conference on November the 2nd with a team of company and NGO representatives.

Fabi and Inka are fantastic youth ambassadors for New Zealand and deserve some press coverage here, to inspire Kiwis young and old.
