Security forces arrest over 30 peaceful activists in Manokwari.
Just a week after the Indonesian president visited West Papua , security forces have arrested over 30 peaceful activists in Manokwari. The rally was called by a number of organisations to support the United Liberation Movement for West Papua becoming a member at the MSG.
Joe Collins of AWPA said, just a week after Jokiwi's visit and all his statements about openness and having nothing to hide in West Papua, over 30 activists are arrested at a peaceful rally and many beaten. It looks like business as usual in West Papua".
