The Palestinian Government appreciates the recognition of the neutrality of the Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria reached a few days ago by the fighting factions, and calls on all parties to faithfully abide by its terms so as to bring an end to the unjust blockade of the camp that lasted for nearly 213 days, and led to the deaths by starvation of more than 106 Palestinian refugees.

Palestinian Reconciliation:
The Palestinian Government applauds the efforts made by Hamas and Fatah in order to implement the reconciliation agreement, and affirms its full readiness to work for the success of these efforts to serve the public interest. It stresses the need to provide an appropriate atmosphere for the implementation of reconciliation in the West Bank by stopping arrests and summonses.
Colonial Settlement:
The Palestinian Government condemns the Israeli decision approving the construction of 550 new housing units in east Jerusalem, and calls on the international community to put an end to Israel’s abuses of land and people.
