Israeli military forces clash with Palestinian resistance

Overnight New Zealand time, there were armed clashes between Israeli military forces and the Palestinian resistance east of Khan Younis. Israeli helicopters were reported to be flying over the area, while 'active movement of Israeli military vehicles in the border area' occurred on the ground.

In other reports, Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah Crossing into Egypt without warning.

An hour ago, Israeli military aircraft suddenly invaded Gaza airspace. The Palestinian resistance fired two rockets at Sderot in response to the ongoing Israeli violations of Gaza territory. The skies above all parts of the Gaza Strip are now full of Israeli reconnaissance planes, and warplanes are flying over the Sea of Gaza.
