The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the Turkish diplomatic residences in Mogadishu, Somalia. We
extend our condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives, and wish the injured a speedy
recovery.
Turkey has played an important role in helping Somalia emerge from two decades of conflict. We stand firmly with the
people of Somalia, with our Turkish ally, and all members of the international community who are working for peace and
stability in Somalia.
This cowardly act will not shake our commitment to continue working for the brighter, more democratic and prosperous
future the people of Somalia deserve.
