Connect with the Australian High Commission on Facebook

The Australian High Commission is pleased to launch its official Facebook page, called Australia in Solomon Islands.

Australian High Commissioner Matt Anderson said “It’s now easier than ever to stay in touch with us: just find us on Facebook and hit ‘like’!

“Facebook is now the best place to go for up-to-date information on the partnership between Solomon Islands and Australia”, Mr Anderson said.

“Through our Facebook page, Australia in Solomon Islands, Solomon Islanders will be able to read first-hand about how Australia and Solomon Islands are working together.

“We’ll be posting information regularly – on everything from Australian scholarships, natural disaster relief and other development assistance to Australian sport, indigenous heritage and important visits.”

Mr Anderson said “we hope Australians living in Solomon Islands will also find the page useful. We’ll be posting important information for expats on the page, such as updates to DFAT’s travel advice, so it’s well worth checking it out.”

“Facebook is a great way to stay in touch with the world, which is why plenty of Solomon Islanders and Australians are already on Facebook. We’re really excited to be joining them.”
