CAIRO, (PIC) -- Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk, the deputy head of Hamas Political Bureau, revealed that the delegations of Hamas and Fatah launched consultations on completing the formation of Palestinian government, under the auspices of Egypt, pointing out that the meetings and the efforts to achieve reconciliation are still ongoing.

Abu Marzouk told PIC: "We carried out, last night, with our brothers from Fatah's delegation consultations under the auspices of Egyptian officials in the General Intelligence Service to discuss the formation of the Palestinian interim government. It was our third meeting during the last few days to continue the implementation of the national consensus. "

The meeting was promising and both sides showed cooperation, revealed Abu Marzouk who added: "We have agreed to activate the work of the Palestinian Legislative Council, to review the features, mechanisms and members of the coming Palestinian government, and to prepare for a meeting between PA's President Mahmud Abbas and Hams Political Bureau's Head Khalid Mishaal, which will be held on 20 June 2012 in Cairo in order to complete the final formation of the Government of national consensus."

The deputy head of Hamas also explained that both sides agreed that Egypt will supervise the work of the Community Reconciliation Process and Freedoms committees in West Bank and Gaza in order to accelerate the creation of the required positive atmosphere for the implementation of the reconciliation deal signed in Egypt by all the Palestinian factions and to hold the presidential and legislative elections.
