Ministry of Social Affairs discusses disabilities card.
Department of Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities – Ministry of Social Affairs held meeting about disabilities
card in Gaza. The ministry works hard to provide care for them. There are nearly 80% of the disabilities get benefits
from programs of the ministry and it gives aid in cash for 28 thousands disabilities besides the ration, health and
relief aids. In addition the ministry agreed with General Personnel Council to employ 5% of the disabilities within the
part- time program.
.Ministry of Tourism start the third stage of excavating Tel-Rafah.
Ministry of Tourism starts the third stage of excavating Tel-Rafah, the archeological site that located in south Gaza.
The minister has cleared that the ministry put a comprehensive plane for excavating and documenting the site, he said
this stage complete the previous stages which starts since two years ago. They discovered more than a thousand silver
coins dating back to Roman times.
The Authority of Environmental Quality carried out a workshop about "Biological control of mosquitoes"
General Department – Authority of Environmental Quality held meeting to discuss the needs of the municipalities in Gaza
to use biological control of mosquitoes which is the best alternatives that is available in the global markets instead
of harmful materials which pollute the environment. On the other hand a delegation from the Turkish Red Crescent visited
the Authority of Environmental Quality headquarters and discussed ways of cooperation
Ministry of Telecommunication: Developmental plan for post offices in the Gaza Strip.
Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology issued its first quarterly report of its achievements and
activities during the year 2012. The report included the main statistical indicators in the field of telecommunications
and information technology. The General Director of post offices said the ministry will start applying a plan for
building the post offices according to international regulations the thing will help in providing services to civilians.
The plan focuses on remote and boarder areas and developing the capacities of the employees.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Planning issued April report.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Planning issued its monthly report about the Zionist violations and aggressions against
the Palestinian people during April 2012. The report noted that the number of martyrs is 5, two of them in Gaza and
three in the west bank, the number of injuries is 50 and nearly 6 incursions in the Gaza strip and 300 detainees.
Moreover, France has denounced the Israeli approval on building 872 settlements in Har Homa' in East Jerusalem, and 180
in 'Givat Ze'ev' in the West Bank and 69 in 'Katzrin' in the Golan.
Ministry of Social Affairs participated in solidarity sit in.
Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour participated in solidarity sit-in in Al-Jundi square in Gaza. They marched to the
sit-in raising solidarity slogans. Minister of Labor sent an urgent massage to the Palestinian people to unit to free
the detainees.
Ministry of Women Affairs sit-in with detainees.
The Minister of Women Affairs said the detainees' hunger strike is unprecedented in the history of detainee's movement
and Palestinian resistance as they defy the occupation by their willingness. She said during the sit in:" the detainee's
hunger strike is unprecedented. The cause of the detainees is to be forgetting but their strike attract the world
attention and active their role in the media scene.
She noted to the situations of Palestinian women in the detention who faces various kinds of torture, insulting them by
vulgar words, and beaten them. The ministry standing by them and their cause.
Ministry of Education inaugurate scientific exhibition.
The director of education directorate- Rafah inaugurate the third exhibition for scientific experiments in Alqus
secondary school. This exhibition aims to develop higher-order thinking, in the testing methodology. The exhibition
shows the works of the scientific laboratory such as the work shops , competitions, and tutorial.
Ministry of Agriculture: Palestinian Agriculture Production safe but Israel practices its policy.
Ministry of Agriculture called the Israeli occupation to open all Palestinian crossings and left the siege which is
imposed on Gaza , so the strip could export its production to outside. The under secretary said " the Israeli's decision
to import tomato from Gaza is part of its selective policy that aims to achieve personal benefits. The minister denied
the Israeli distrust of the healthy of Palestinian tomato and the claims that the Palestinian agriculture is not safety.
He stressed that the planting process is carried according to correct standards.
Delegation of freed detainees meets the General Secretary of the Arab States League and the Egyptian Foreign Minister.
A delegation of Palestinian Freed Detainees met the General Secretary of the Arab state League at its headquarter. He
welcomes the delegation and offered an apology on behalf of the Arab league for neglecting the detainees cause " the
league will pay attention to the detainees cause and will internationalization it.
AlArabee stressed that the league will work to end the detainees sufferings and called the delegation to document the
Israeli violation and aggressions against the detainees. On the other hand the delegation handed a note that explained
the detainees conditions and their demands for which they launch the hunger strike such as ending the solidarity
confinement, administrative detention, arbitrary policies of Israeli Detention Administration, and resuming the visiting
of prisoners from Gaza.
Prime Minister calls the detainees to persist unity.
Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh calls the detainees to persist unity and protect it in order to realize the victory. He
paid tribute to the steadfastness of the prisoners in their battle, he stressed that they will not back down their
demands till they achieved their freedom.
.Government Spokesman: what Reuters reported is inaccurate.
The Government Spokesman Taher Alnono said what Reuters reported about the Prime minister's view in case of any
escalation in the region is inaccurate.
Alnono said in press statements, quoting what the prime minister said, the stance of the government stands by the
Palestinian people interests. Reuters has quoted what the prime Minister said that Hamas will not be foot drag in a war
with Israel if the last attacked Iran.
-Ministry of Agriculture welcomed convey from Tunisia
Ministry of Agriculture hosts Arab delegation came to the Gaza Strip with solidarity with its people. The Ministry of
Agriculture took the Tunisian convey in tour to the agricultural projects.
The Ministry also received delegation from the Egyptian Syndicate of Engineers, and the Minister of Agriculture said
that this visit strengthen the relation between Egypt and Palestine and helps in developing the agriculture sector which
suffered as a result of the imposed blockade.
The training center at the Ministry of Agriculture concluded training course about organic fertilizers for number of
framers.
Ministry of Youth& Sports inaugurated Al Raed training diploma 2012
The Ministry of Youth & Sports celebrates the opening of Al-Raed training diploma 2012 with the participation of (600)youth. The Minister said
that the aim of this program is to prepare generation of youth who are able to perform well in the market and serve the
community.
The Ministry of Culture also held a celebration to present the prize of the best cultural center 2011.
Water Authority warned of Israel's policy in confiscating water resources
The Palestinian Water Authority warned of Israel's policy in confiscating Palestinian water resources and considered it
violation of the Palestinian rights. The Ministry said that during its participation in a workshop organized by the
Palestinian center for human rights. The specialists and the academic participated in the workshop recommended to form
committee that includes experts in health, education and environment and to be able to implement vital projects related
to water sector in Palestine.
The general manger of water resources said that the occupation is responsible of water shortage in water resources in
Palestine and especially in Gaza Strip.
Minister of Foreign Affairs received Robert Turner, the Director of UNRWA Operation
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Planning received Mr. Robert Turner the new Director of UNRWA Operation who affirmed
the need to strengthen the cooperation between the government and the UNRWA in order to provide better service to the
Palestinian citizen.
Mr. Turner said that he will launch an international campaign to highlight the conditions in Gaza. He added that the
URWA is suffering due to reducing the aids and the donations.
Ministry of Labor form committee to follow up the temporary employment program
Ministry of Labor formed a committee to "organize and follow up the temporary employment program". The aim of this
committee is to follow up the working mechanism at the labor offices in order to serve the largest number of unemployed
people.
National Supreme Committee held a seminar in Alawqaf School
The National Supreme Committee to commemorate the Traffic national Day organized a seminar about the traffic campaign in
cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Interior in addition to other awareness lectures.
Minister of Culture: the Ministry pays great efforts to make change in the Palestinian cultural sector
The Minister of Culture said that his Ministry is working very hard on the progress of the Palestinian cultural sector.
He added that the only way to overcome our enemy is through revving the Palestinian culture and legacy. He pointed out
that the Ministry was involved in many activities, and provided logistic support to many projects.
Senior delegation from Ministry of Education visited Egypt
The Minister of Education discussed with a delegation from Islamic Bank, in the presence with other organizations, such
as Qatar Charitable Foundation and Islamic Relief, the cooperation in implementing and supporting different projects to
develop the education sector.
At the same time, a senior delegation from the Ministry of Education visited the Egyptian Ministry of Education. During
the meeting, both parties discussed the protocol of cooperation of higher education
Minister of Health participated in the 32 annual conference of the Islamic Medical Association
The Minister of Health finished his outside tour which included Egypt, Saudi Arabia and South Africa where he
participated in the "32 annual conference of the Islamic Medical Conference held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The
Minister of Health, in his speech in the conference, demanded the countries to support the Palestinian medical sector
and contribute in overcome the blockade and the Israeli occupation.
Ministry of Women called to provide family counseling sessions
Ministry of Women called for providing family counseling sessions and make some basic courses a condition for the
approval of marriage , in order to, reduce the chances of the difference between the couples.
The Ministry also held a workshop to improve the image of the Palestinian women in the culture of the Palestinian
society, it also stressed the need to provide job opportunities for unemployed women in particular through the small
projects.
Prime Minister: Egypt intensifies its contacts to implement the terms of the prisoners swap deal
The Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh affirmed that the leadership in Egypt intensifies its contacts with the Israeli
occupation to activate the terms of the Prisoners Swap Deal. He said in the Friday sermon delivered in the solidarity
tent that there are positive contacts and official meeting between Egyptian leadership and the Israeli occupation to
implement the term of the swap deal. . He explained that the resolutions adopted by the Arab league were good and
affirmed the interaction Arab leadership with the detainee's issue.
