Ahrar, Tadamun Deny Palestinian Prisoner Died In Jail

09/05/2012

NABLUS, (PIC)-- The director of Ahrar center for prisoners’ studies and human rights, Fuad Al-Khafsh, has denied press reports that a Palestinian prisoner on hunger strike had died.

Khafsh urged the media outlets not to publish news without verifying them, categorically denying that a prisoner had died.

A press report said that a Palestinian prisoner in Gilboa died after his heart suddenly stopped.

For its part, Tadamun foundation for human rights said that prisoner Anas Al-Qaddoumi, 26, was in stable condition according to the Gilboa jail administration.

It said that actually Qaddoumi’s heart stopped functioning but the prison’s clinic gave him an electric shock that restarted his heart after which he was taken to an Israeli hospital.
