19 Palestinians Held In Israeli Isolation Jails

The Higher Committee for the Support of Palestinian Prisoners in Israeli occupation jails has said that 19 Palestinians are being held insolitary confinement.

It said in a statement on Saturday that those prisoners are completely isolated from the outside world, some of them having been held in solitary confinement for more than ten years.

The Committee pointed out that the isolated prisoners are deprived of family visits and even of seeing their lawyers.

They said the prisoners, who have been on hunger strike for 12 days, are adamant about continuing their strike until their just demands are met.

The committee said in a statement on Saturday that the prisoners are ready for new qualitative and unprecedented steps in their strike, that will be revealed in time if the Israeli prison service insists on rejecting their demands.

It said that the prisoners had reached the point of no return, and had vowed never to give up their demands, even if martyrs fell along the way to achieving a "dignified life."
