Israeli jailors storm prison cells, confiscate prisoners’ belongings
RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli jailors stormed the cells of Palestinian prisoners in Askalan and confiscated their belongings on the first day of their hunger strike, the Palestinian prisoners’ association said on Saturday.
Lawyers of the association
quoted prisoners as saying that the jailors confiscated the
prisoners’ personal belongings including all electric
appliances.
Meanwhile, Fuad Al-Khafsh, the director of
Ahrar center for human rights, told the PIC on Saturday that
the Israeli prison service (IPS) was exploiting all means to
quell the prisoners and foil their hunger strike.
He said that the IPS was moving many prisoners from one jail to another without informing lawyers and blocking visits by those lawyers as part of attempts to abort the hunger strike.
