Four days of Israeli bombing kill 25 Palestinians
After four days of Israeli aerial bombardments, 25 Palestinians are dead, and dozens more injured. A fragile truce has been announced.
Israeli war planes and troops have frequently attacked the Gaza strip since their brutal 22-day invasion three years ago, which left 1,400 Palestinians dead.
Most victims are civilians, including women and children. Gaza has also been subjected to a crippling siege since 2007 when democratic elections resulted in a Hamas government.
Four Kiwi volunteers will join the next Viva Palestina international aid convoy to break the siege. The convoy departs London on 22 April, and is due to arrive in Gaza on 15 May.
