Acting Assistant Secretary Traveling to Georgia, Turkey

Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM) David Robinson will travel to Georgia and Turkey from March 5–9.

On March 5-7, Ambassador Robinson will visit various PRM-funded assistance projects in Georgia and meet with Georgian officials responsible for displaced and refugee issues.

From March 8-9, Ambassador Robinson will travel to Istanbul, where he will visit our Resettlement Support Center that prepares refugee applicants for U.S. resettlement consideration and will attend a cultural orientation class for refugees bound for the United States. He will also meet with the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and local Turkish non-governmental organizations supporting refugees and with refugees themselves.
