The international union movement said G20 Finance Ministers will fail their populations if they don’t take action to
raise job creation and employment in the global economy.
The ITUC has called on Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to stop a new round of anti-union harassment against
workers at the RUPP “Granite” company in Brest.
The ITUC and its Play Fair alliance partners are calling on the International Olympic Committee to introduce
“comprehensive and effective measures” to put an end to violations of workers’ rights in Olympics supply chains.
A new ITUC report released today strongly criticizes the Turkish government’s failure to protect workers from
exploitation and intimidation by private-sector employers and state authorities.
Miguel Angel González Ramírez, a member of the Izabal banana workers’ union SITRABI, was killed on 5 February. He was
shot several times whilst carrying his young child in his arms.
