Largest Muslim Event to Commemorate 10th Anniversary of 9/11 at Wembley Arena

More than 12,000 British and European Muslims will gather to commemorate 9/11 terrorist attacks in the heart of London. The “Peace for Humanity Conference” has been supported by the Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Labour Leader Ed Miliband and various MPs and MEP. The Deputy Mayor of London is one of the speakers. The Conference is also supported by various Muslim countries.

The Conference is also backed by major Muslim organizations.

The author of the most comprehensive condemnation of terrorism to date who declared terrorists to be disbelievers and out of the ambit of Islam and who made headlines in 2010 for his Fatwa on Terrorism and his Anti-Terror camp will be the key-note speaker.

The Conference will also be participated by faith leaders of all major religions. The Archbishop of Canterbury will also speak at the Conference. It is expected that a Global Declaration for Global Peace is announced by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri who is regarded as the leading authority on Islam.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is currently on a lecture tour on 9/11 in the United States.

Shahid Mursaleen, spokesman of Minhaj-ul-Quran International who is organising the event said “More than 12,000 Muslims will gather to commemorate 10th anniversary of 9/11 to condemn terrorism and with a joint Declaration to reject terrorist acts and Bin Ladenanism unequivocally and reach out for a true representative of Islam, who is Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They reach out to him as the only hope for Global Peace and Harmony and who can prevent a clash of civilisations.”

• Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) is a broad-based Muslim organisation based in 90 countries and aims to promote religious moderation, human rights and welfare, modern education and interfaith relationships through workshops, training and conferences. It has a Special Consultative Status with the UN.
• Founded in Pakistan by a leading Islamic authority, Dr Muhammed Tahir-ul-Qadri in 1981, it has an international network with millions of followers globally.
• Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is a professor of international law and a prominent authority on Islam has authored more than 400 published works on Islamic scholarship, law and Sufism.
• He authored the historic 600-page Fatwa on Terrorism which dismantles terrorists ideology. The Fatwa is the most comprehensive analysis of the issue of terrorism that was launched in the UK, and provides robust religious evidence to reject arguments which justify atrocities committed by terrorists. It is vital to clarify these concepts of jihad and counter extremist arguments as they brainwash students at our universities.
