Vomo Island Resort Fiji Featured in The Bachelorette finale

Vomo Island Resort Fiji, Featured Destination in Final Episode of the Season on ABC’s The Bachelorette

August 3, 2011 - Vomo Island Resort, Fiji was the setting for three special occasions on the final episode of the seventh edition of ABC-TV’s The Bachelorette (aired on ABC Monday 01/08/11) . The episode shot at the resort covered a Final Date with one of the two remaining contestants, the important Meet the Parents event as well as the Final Rose Ceremony. Audiences looked forward to a possible Proposal for the newest Bachelorette, the energetic and vivacious Ashley Hebert, who is ready for a second chance at love.

Just a 15-minute helicopter transfer from Nadi International Airport, Vomo Island Resort is the only hotel on an idyllic, 225-acre private island in the Mamanuca Islands Group – with views of majestic Mt. Vomo rising at one end and expansive views of the Pacific all around. The natural beauty of Vomo is at every turn, with a total of 30 luxury villas positioned along the beachfront and the hillside lush, with native plantings and mango and coconut groves. Fringed entirely with soft white sands that drift into clear blue waters, the five-star resort is surrounded by coral reefs abundant with marine life – making it one of the best snorkeling spots in Fiji.

A very special Final Date enjoyed by Ashley and one of her final two Bachelors was a kayak trip to Vomo Lailai, a true deserted island off the western tip of Vomo. With a two-way radio the only means of contact with the outside world, the couple enjoyed a champagne picnic and frolicking on the beach.

The show’s much anticipated Final Rose Ceremony took place during a breathtaking sunset on the white sands of Vomo’s Rock Beach – with black volcanic rock on one side and a sweeping view of the Pacific and pristine Vomo Lailai on the other.

ABOUT THE BACHELORETTE
In the hit primetime romance reality series The Bachelorette, one lucky woman gets the opportunity to find the man of her dreams — and hopefully her groom-to-be — in this reality series. This single, very eligible bachelorette — a confident, successful and sensitive woman who is ready to find love — will embark on a romantic journey as she meets 25 handsome and intelligent men. As the Bachelorette gets to know each one, she'll continue to narrow the field. They will travel to exotic locations and spend time getting to know each other; she will introduce them to her family and friends and meet some of theirs. At the end of her romantic voyage, if she has found Mr. Right, will there be a proposal, from whom – and will she say yes? Hosted by Chris Harrison, The Bachelorette is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8/7 Central on ABC. For more information on The Bachelorette, visit http://abc.go.com/shows/the-bachelorette .
