Update on Jetstar Australian & New Zealand Services: Puyehue-Cordon Caulle Volcano

MELBOURNE, Australia, June 23 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/ --

Jetstar is pleased to advise flights to and from Launceston will resume from 1600 AEST this afternoon.

Jetstar flights to and from Hobart will resume from 1700 today AEST.

Jetstar will operate additional Melbourne-Hobart services this afternoon and evening in order to help disrupted passengers get to their destination. These are as follows:

JQ7301 Melbourne – Hobart, departing 1700 AEST JQ7302 Hobart – Melbourne, departing 1840 AEST

Jetstar will be proactively contacting customers who have been affected by cancelled flights.

Jetstar advises that its New Zealand services, both domestic and Trans Tasman are cancelled for the rest of today, 23 June.

A full list of cancelled services for 23 June is listed on Jetstar.com.

Jetstar is closely monitoring the ash cloud in conjunction with the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre and the Bureau of Meteorology. We continue to assess the situation and later today we will provide a further update in regard to tomorrow's New Zealand schedule.

All other Australian domestic services are operating to schedule.
