April Polls: Seer Warns On Akpabio, Violence In Akwa Ibom

RENOWNED seer and spiritual consultant, Bassey Orok, says the current spate of political violence unsettling Akwa Ibom State, has its tap root in falsehood. He has also warned against the re-election of Governor Godswill Akpabio.

Orok, who was speaking in an interview with AkanimoReports, said on Friday that when Governor Akpabio came out to contest election in 2007, ''i raised an alarm that he was not the messiah the state needed. I also said that if he is allowed to govern, the state will not be a better place for peace''.

The seer is claiming that there is a cabal within the Akpabio administration that is holding the state hostage and its members are benefiting from the public till for destroying the state. The truth of the matter is that Akwa Ibom has been kidnapped by Akpabio and his political cabal, and only God can rescue the state from the hands of the tyrants.

''In 2007, i warned that if Akpabio is allowed as a governor of Akwa Ibom, his reign will mark the beginning of terror in the state and the citizenry will have no rest. Now, the entire state is experiencing the reign of terror'', he said.

''The second point i must let you is that Akpabio is power drunk. When a man is of the spirit of tailoring wants to perform surgical operation on a patient, there is no prayer needed other than looking for the near by coffin shop and get one ready to transport him back home.

''This is the situation facing Akwa Ibom people. He claims to have completely constructed more than 400 roads in the state. How can personality like Governor Akpabio frame such lies to the world and no body in the state is talking for fear of death?

''The regime has not completed any road in Udung Uko, Mbo, Okobo and Urue Offong Oruko Local Government Areas. Akpabio should stop telling lies because no matter what happens now, he will pay dearly for it at the end of the day. I do not want to go into other issues and Local government areas within the state which he claims to have perform very well''.

Orok has predicted that if Akpabio wins in the April governorship poll, ''he will create many havoc and cause many to weep. Repression will increase, he will have no concrete friend, but will want to use any at will. The state will experience more dangerous situations that even the security agents will not handle properly, the weight of falsehood will increase through the government element, and embezzlement in style will be in control''

Continuing, he said, ''what happen in Uyo and Ikot Ekpene on Tuesday, is the handwork of government. They have placed time bomb everywhere in reediness to destroy anybody who
comes out to contest agents them. Truth is they will be consumed by the same time bomb. I pity them because they will soon reap all that they have sown.

''The security agencies should hold the governor responsible because he is the cause of all the unrest, kidnapping and killing that is going on in Akwa Ibom.

''Those who killed in the name of politic should pray fervently for themselves because a time will come when they all will pay for their acts. Rather than men going to war, they should channel all their problems to God, and at the same be prepared to listen to Him when He gives His command'' ENDS
