His Majesty conveys sympathies for disaster victims in Christchurch and Japan
His Majesty King George Tupou V expressed his sympathy for the many lives lost in the recent earthquake in Christchurch and the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, by visiting the Chanceries on Monday 21st March to sign the Condolence books in memory of the many victims of the disasters.
His Majesty was received at the New Zealand Chancery by the High Commissioner, Dr Jonathan Austin who took the opportunity to convey sincere appreciation to His Majesty for His message of condolence to the Governor General and the families of the victims of the earthquake in Christchurch.
His Majesty was greeted at the Embassy by the Ambassador, His Excellency Yasuo Takase who also expressed sincere gratitude to His Majesty for visiting the Chancery to express His condolences for the many victims of the disaster in Japan.
