Team promotes Fiji in India

The Attorney General and Minister for Tourism, Mr Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is heading a delegation that is promoting Fiji in India.

Tourism Fiji chief executive officer Josefa Tuamoto said four major cities in India were engaged and learning about white sandy beaches, friendly people and wonderful food on offer in the tropical paradise called Fiji.

Tourism Fiji is conducting workshops in Mumbai, Chenai, Hydrabad, and Delhi. The workshops started this morning in the four cities.

India has some of the richest people in the world and their film industry is one that Fiji will try to attract.

The workshops were possible through the collaboration between Tourism Fiji and Global Destinations.

This is the second such workshop, following a recent one in Moscow.

“They are the new growth economies we plan to tap,” Mr Tuamoto said.

The team returns on February 4.
