Outgames names conference scholarship winners
People from 9 different countries have received scholarships to help them attend the Human Rights Conference at the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames, it was announced today.
“With generous funding from the Kingdom of the Netherlands we are able to provide fifteen travel scholarships to people from South Pacific countries,” said Outgames Conference Convenor, Barry Taylor.
Called The Netherlands Fund, the scholarships
cover return airfares to Wellington from the applicant’s
country of residence, as well as accommodation, meals and
conference registration.
“This funding has meant that
the conference can have a broader representation from
countries in the Pacific region,” said Mr Taylor.
