Cathay Pacific London Schedules Return to Normal Plans to Operate Extra Flights to Help Stranded Passengers

Cathay Pacific expects to operate its normal schedule of four flights from Hong Kong to London today, as the second runway at London/Heathrow Airport has now been reopened.

With this return to normal schedules, Cathay Pacific advises passengers who are holding confirmed reservations from Auckland through to London that they will be accepted for travel today.

Cathay Pacific is hoping to be able to operate additional services over the next few days to help clear the backlog of passenger who have been disrupted but this is conditional on aircraft and crew availability, as well as airport slots at London, Heathrow.

There are still large numbers of passengers stranded in London, many of them school students returning to Hong Kong for Christmas holidays. Cathay Pacific is giving priority to student passengers, and those with special needs.

Passengers are advised to input their contact details in the ‘Manage My Booking’ function at the Cathay Pacific website, www.cathaypacific.co.nz to ensure they receive the latest flight information via SMS or email. Or alternatively call Cathay Pacific on 379 0861, if in Auckland, or from outside Auckland on 0800 800 454 for further information and rebooking proceedings.
